Cork oak tree
Primarily seen on the Mediterrannean, it is largely thanks to its bark (cork) that it has been so widely developped and used by humans for diverse reasons (bottle-corks, insulation, shoes etc). This tree is still widely present in our forests, thanks to the fact that it is incredibly fire-resistant.
