White oak tree
Superb shade-giving tree that loses its leaves in winter and yet grows rapidly. In spring, it develops green leaves that will only fall in late winter (Southern Regions) as temperatures head towards frost. We tend to see them in their natural habitat in forests rather than our gardens.
